Decor for your new home
Dried flowers: Dried flowers and eucalyptus leaves are trending. Get a metal ring at a home-improvement store and create your own wreath that you can hang on your walls or door.
Tie-dye is back: Create your own pillows with tie-dye. Tie-dye is not only trending for clothes, but also for pillows, linens, and other home textiles.
Macramé: Style your home with some hand-made macramé. You can find handicraft macramé sets in hobby shops or online stores. Choose your favourite design and get started.
Cool candle holders: Repurpose empty wine or spirit bottles left over from your last party into stylish candle holders. The more wax that drips on the bottleneck, the more creative this DIY element looks in your apartment.
DIY stool: Instead of discarding old magazines, make them into a practical stool. Simply stack the magazines and fix them together using a belt or a strong string. For extra comfort, add a cushion on top.
Unique mirror: Create your own, unique mirror. It is easy to spruce up a mirror and there are infinite possibilities on just how to do so. Just buy any mirror without a frame, and insert it into an edgy picture frame. Alternatively, glue it onto a stiff doily for a more romantic look.

Keep things in order with style
Kilner jar: Use a labelling machine and Kilner jars to upgrade the food storage in your kitchenette. Tip: You can also use labels to mark folders and add gift tags to presents.
Jam jars for your bathroom: If you have a lot of cosmetic products, this tip will help you keep your bathroom tidy. Upcycle empty jam jars with screw-top lids. Simply glue the lid to the bottom of a shelf, and you can unscrew it whenever you need to take something out of the jar. You can use the jars to store cotton buds, cotton pads and more.
Magnetic strips: Magnetic strips are a great and creative way to save space in your drawers, and you can use them to keep scissors, cutlery and other metal tools handy and organised. Simply cut up a magnetic strip to your desired size, and stick it to your wall or the inside of your bathroom cabinet using double-sided adhesive tape.
